Lattimer

Richie is the Design Engineering Manager here at Lattimer and has worked here for 12 years. He progressed through the business into his current role initially starting on a graduate scheme up to being on the management team.

Day-to-day activities include ensuring the departments work is on schedule as well as supporting other stakeholder departments. This includes Manufacturing to make sure parts are drawn in an efficient manner, Production to help with any queries on new or existing products and Sales to give technical support.

The department designs new products to meet customers’ needs, alongside this we update our legacy parts to meet the needs of the ever-increasing demand of the glass industry. All new models and drawings are produced in Solidworks CAD where we can run different simulations to ensure our products perform.

Outside of work Richie spends quite a bit of time in the countryside with his family where they enjoy staying over, going swimming, and walking with their dogs. During the week he enjoys playing tennis to a good standard in his local tennis league.
